The attorneys of the firm are members of the Maine Bar Association, the Cumberland County Bar Association and the Maine Trial Lawyers and Maine Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Attorneys have presented to seminars, client education sessions and similar forums in such diverse matters as Worker Compensation laws, various real estate title and title insurance issues, criminal defense procedures and strategy and civil trial practice and procedure.
In the realm of public service, members of the Cloutier, Conley & Duffett have served in the Maine House of Representatives, the Maine Senate, the Portland City Council and the Cumberland County Board of Commissioners. Offices held have included Mayor of Portland, County Commission Chairman and numerous public and civic board memberships and enterprises.
Members have served the State of Maine as members and Chair of the Maine Corrections Working Group, the Maine Parole Board, the Governor’s Advisory Council on Judicial Appointments, Board member of the Maine Turnpike Authority, member and Chair of the Certificate of Need Advisory Committee and numerous other positions.
In the community, firm members have served schools, churches and local civic organizations as Little League and other sports league coaches, as officers and board members of a local credit union, a local country club and golf course and various civic organizations, and the firm and its title company have sponsored youth athletic teams at various competition levels.
