Cloutier, Conley & Duffett grew from two small Portland law firms which commenced practice in 1979. From the beginning, the attorneys of the firm were active in community affairs, visible participants in the trial litigation practice conducted in Portland’s courts and concentrated in the typical family and small business legal needs of area residents.
Today, the firm includes four Cloutier brothers plus Attorneys Jerry Conley and Neale Duffett.
During its over thirty years of practice, the firm has
- Closed thousands of mortgage loans through its title company – First Title of Maine
- Represented hundreds of clients in personal injury claims, worker compensation, benefits claims and disability and social security matters
- Defended hundreds of criminal cases in all courts of Maine
- Help start and nourish dozens of Southern Maine small businesses
- Drafted hundreds of wills, estate and financial plans and family trusts
The firm continues to focus on the common legal needs of middle class Maine people, families and family businesses, serving the evolving legal and business needs of the community.
